Snow is the main attraction of the region. The ski resorts of Astún and Candanchú are 28 km far from Jaca, on the road to France. It is the most important ski resort of the Huesca Pyrenees and has one of the largest ski areas in the country. Located at the head of the Aragón Valley, it has a downhill skiing area of 105 km, 61,5 km of cross-country skiing runs, snowboard halfpipe, 70-90 metres ski jump.
